The preferred pipeline route

We have worked hard to make sure 
that our preferred route minimises the 
impact on the environment, and we 
will continue to work with communities 
and landowners along the route as we 
complete the design and consult the 
local planning authorities. 

Our teams have carried out surveys and 
investigations to see whether there are any 
environmentally sensitive areas such as 
protected species, like badgers, water voles, 
bats and Great Crested Newts, or important 
areas of archaeology. 

We have planned the route to avoid urban 
areas and villages and to minimise disruption 
to you and your community.
